Time changes everything
-
Edition | Flipbook | Teamwork with Lisa LOTITO

The creation of four flip books.
The first two describe the effect of time in Chinese and American culture.
The latter two demonstrate the power of time in daily, personal life.
The books were created by making a copy of the copy until the words disappeared.

The first book contains the sentence « One birth per family contributes to the good of the country. »
This mandate was introduced into Chinese political and social life in the 1950s and was phased out in 2015.
The second book contains only one word: hope.
This slogan was the heart of Obama’s 2008 campaign, a time of hope and change in American life.

The third book presents « Foreigner activity » and the last book contains the sentence « Don’t touch the stove »,
a classic warning from American mothers.
This warning describes an experience that could be dangerous at a young age but is no longer dangerous as one grows older.

Page by page, everything changes.

« Foreigner activity » | Xiaoxu

« Don’t touch the stove » | Lisa
